ParanaVision is an R&D company aiming to provide new generation image/video processing, coding and communication systems.

ParanaVision was founded in October 2006. ParanaVision’s purpose is introducing state of the art computer vision tools that are universally accepted and providing a wide array of products that will meet requirements of security, defense, and media industries.

The main subjects of research in ParanaVision are mobile video transmission, applications and active surveillance systems, emotion, behavior, activity analysis and recognition, continuously learning intelligent systems, efficient video coding and transmission systems.

ParanaVision has an expertise on computer vision and focused to develop novel methods and innovative products. ParanaVision has a two step approach: developing the core technology and after reaching some level of maturity integrating that core to many applications with application specific optimizations, while constantly continuing to develop the technology.

ParanaVision carries out studies on:

- Surveillance systems (face recognition, object detection and tracking, activity detection, behavior understanding, abandoned object detection, etc.)

- Counting systems (customer counting, audience counting and passenger counting, etc.) 

- Video coding and transmission, both wireless (mobile) and wired medium. 

ParanaVision provides products and solutions especially for defense and security but also a variety of fields from transportation to entertainment. ParanaVision targets leadership in both national and international markets through its professional client-focused approach and importance attained to the quality of its production process as well as products/solutions.
